The Steam Engine Foundation is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to supporting and promoting emerging musicians in and around San Diego, California. We provide grants to independent artists and groups with well-developed ideas or projects that they’re ready to bring into the production studio or to share with the public. Through our efforts, we aim to empower local artists and enhance the vibrant musical landscape of San Diego.

Our focus at this time is on helping to defray the costs of recording and producing original music. Grants are typically between 1 and 2 thousand dollars.
